Located between Uvita and Ojochal, La Experiencia offers convenient access to world-class nature, local dining, and wellness experiences—yet remains peacefully tucked away in the jungle.

Guests enjoy exclusive access to the beautiful Ballena Beach, just a 2-minute drive or short walk away. This 3-mile stretch of sand is rarely crowded and is the perfect place to unwind, boogie board, walk for miles, or watch a fiery Pacific sunset.

From La Experiencia, you’re also within easy reach of tours, waterfalls, yoga retreats, and surf spots. Whether you’re here to explore or relax, this location is the ideal balance of privacy and adventure. A 4x4 vehicle is required, and concierge service is available to arrange rental cars and discounted airport transfers directly to the villa. Welcome to La Experiencia, a luxury Balinese-style villa designed to indulge your senses. Nestled in a private gated community surrounded by jungle and boasting panoramic ocean views, this property offers the perfect harmony between tranquility and comfort.

The main villa features 3 spacious, air-conditioned master bedrooms, each with ocean views and indoor/outdoor rain showers. For larger groups or extra privacy, you have the option to add the independent one-bedroom casita—a secluded suite with its own plunge pool, king-size bed, outdoor shower, and kitchenette.

👉 The casita can be added for $100 per night (not billed through the booking platform). To include it in your stay, please contact us directly after booking. Payment for the casita will be made upon arrival.

La casa de Cynthia es mejor que en las fotos. La amplitud de los espacios y la belleza del entorno no se alcanzan a apreciar. ¡Hay que visitarla! Lo mejor es la vista desde la piscina. Lo único que cambiaría es que todos los baños carecen de privacidad. Aparte de eso, es perfecta. Como otras reseñas lo dicen, las visitas diarias del equipo de limpieza y la posibilidad de entrar a una playa semi-privada son súper valorables también. Cynthia fue una anfitriona muy amable y diligente, además.

Fantastic house!! About 5-10 minutes from restaurants in either direction. Definitely need a car/jeep. The road was not as bad as reviews mention. Just a steep dirt road. House is fantastic and clean. Beds are great. A/C in all bedrooms. Kitchen is stocked. Quiet surroundings. Peaceful. Animals surround with lots of activity in the early morning. Definitely splurge on the chef opportunities! Fantastic food and always nice to stay in a few days and enjoy. Groceries are a 5 minute drive. We loved it. Thanks for the memories!!

This home was perfect for our family. The views were gorgeous. We enjoyed being visited by Toucans and White-faced Capuchins during our stay. We even spotted a sloth in one of the taller trees visible from the patio. Housekeeping kept the entire home spotless. The beach was incredible and is reason enough to select this home. Seven of us stayed for my sons high school graduation trip. In the words of my 18 year old son and his friends, "it was the best vacation and house ever!" And we've traveled a LOT. Cynthia was absolutely amazing, always responsive, gave us great restaurant and activity suggestions, and was so kind. The beach was GORGEOUS! We also went to a waterfall that was just a 20 min drive and it was so beautiful and fun. The home was easy to find with the waze app, and everything we needed was within a 10 minute drive. We saw howler monkey's, toucans, Macaws and capuchin monkeys. The house is completely private and showering with a view of the ocean was magical. The maid service was great and the kitchen was fully equipped. A vehicle is a must (4x4). The Casita was my sons favorite part of the house. Our only regret was that we couldnt stay longer.

This is definitely one of our top air bnbs!! This place is amazing and the views our even better in person. The place was spotless upon arrival and the daily maid service was outstanding. Cynthia was very responsive to any needs along the way. Chef Chino and Journay were both amazing and prepared breakfast lunch and dinner 2 of our days-highly recommend!! Everything was delicious and even my picky eaters loved it and he modified anything we asked. We utilized both pools daily soaking in the sun and beautiful views. Saw so many beautiful toucans daily and they were so entertaining to watch. The beach access was an easy drive and so beautiful! My kids ages 10 and 14 could have spent hours boogie boarding the huge waves! It was so nice to have beach chairs, sun umbrella, cooler, and the boogie boards for the beach! We also used the transportation to and from San Jose and they were prompt with pick ups both ways. We will be back!!!

Travel from SJO took about 4.5 hours with no stops, plan accordingly, could be shorter on different days/times. We used a driver and got a car at the house. PERFECT and recommend.Cynthia met us at the house & Chef Chino had preplanned dinner ready when we arrived. Cynthia supported our request to have some groceries for the house for breakfast. House is private with a great view & pool. We saw monkeys and toucans from the porch. Every morning we awoke to birds chirping and every night we went to sleep to the frogs and insects singing. Cleaning staff daily. Our family of four enjoyed the beach, chairs & boogie boards provided. Privacy for each room. AC is in bedrooms only with lots of cross ventilation in main room. LR and kitchen wall fold to open the house to nature.Well equiped kitchen.

The house and the location were simply amazing! Breathtaking views and wildlife with a plethora of beautiful birds including toucans, monkeys, coati surround the property. Along with the stunning beach' just down the hill, our stay here was an experience our family will cherish for some time! Cynthia met us when we arrived and explained everything we needed to know about the house, local restaurants, and fun local excursions. The additional maid service was an extra bonus! Cynthia also organized for us to have our own car delivered to the property which made our sightseeing easy and accessible as well as a private driver to and from the airport.
